Refuge For Women Las Vegas Hosts 2nd Annual Topgolf Fundraiser

LAS VEGAS, Sept. 6, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- Refuge for Women Las Vegas ("RFWLV") will host its 2nd Annual Topgolf Challenge Fundraiser on Friday, September 8, from 9 am to 12 pm at Topgolf Las Vegas, with all proceeds going to benefit and support Refuge for Women Las Vegas—a local, non-profit organization that provides aftercare and structured programming for trauma healing, addiction recovery, job training, and education for women escaping the sex trafficking industry. The fundraising event is intended to raise awareness and financial support to continue RFWLV's mission of helping victims of human trafficking and by helping to change the Las Vegas community, one woman at a time.

To register an individual, a team, or to become a tournament corporate sponsor visit https://www.eventbrite.com/e/topgolf-challenge-fundraiser-tickets-35442384125. Entrance fees are $150 for individual players and include two games of Topgolf, breakfast, and access to the live auction. Bay Sponsorship packages are also available for six players and two spectators for $1,000.

Refuge for Women Las Vegas opened the doors of its safe house in November 2015 and since then has served many women through its 12-month healing program. Some of the major corporate sponsors are Cox Communications, AGS, and Impact Companies. Refuge for Women Las Vegas has also been the recipient of several Clark County grants. One of the Refuge for Women graduates will be sharing her powerful story of transformation at the Topgolf Fundraiser.

Refuge for Women Las Vegas is seeking the support from the Las Vegas community to help with their housing needs and partnership opportunities. The key aspects of the Refuge for Women program are sobriety, healing from sexual and physical abuse, and rebuilding trust. Refuge for Women provides a safe house for women who have been rescued from human trafficking and sexual exploitation and these homes offer a safe place for residents to experience healing with few distractions. The setting creates a family atmosphere and provides an intimate environment with each guest having access to individual care. This program offers healing to victims of sex trafficking by providing a safe place to heal and recover, and to eventually integrate them back into society, over the course of a 12-month program.
